I just love this post. Thank you for sharing all of these wishes and links. Best wishes to you, too.
PS Andre’s chocolate babka is what my family has always used for birthday cakes. I’ll have to try the cabbage strudel next time I’m home.
Wait. Andres?? Really???
Elissa, thank you for another great post. Wishing you and Susan all of the best in the year ahead.
Elissa, thank you for your blog. (And you even know Alice Munro!)
Best wishes to you and Susan for the year ahead.
I wish you all this and more – tho’ the list is pretty thorough!! I’d add a chance to see you and Susan, enough hugs to feel loved every moment of your day, and some laughter that is so goofy you start to cry…and love, always
A very happy Christmas to you and Susan from across the pond and a happy and healthy new year :0)
Elissa, your post brims with magic and a feeling of joy, yearning, love, and hope. Contentment, too. Happy for you!
Just read your book (Poor Man’s feast is new to me) and found the blog! Yahoo. Randomly chose a past post and read you love Marin County (where I grew up). Loved the Holiday Wish post. Thank you. 🙂
Thank you Jolie!
Yes, Andre’s! I grew up in Forest Hills–and the babka is so good. I was so excited when I saw them mentioned in the post you linked to. 🙂 (Although, did you see that their website says 15 minutes to the city? 15 long-ish minutes, I think.)
such a lovely list. Happy to see Laurie Colwin on there. I love her stories like I love yours.
